Leander ISD's Vision is that "Students will exit our system with the same passion for learning they had when they entered, without economics determining success. Every Option Open."

I am the Pride of Jim Plain!
Jim Plain Elementary was named after long-time Leander ISD Deputy Superintendent Jim Plain, who played a critical role in developing the district’s school construction program. His emphasis on the “partnership” among architects, engineers, contractors and the school district has made LISD’s construction process effective and efficient.

Student Transfer Requests for 2017-18 School Year
Leander ISD News
Leander ISD tries to maintain an open student transfer option for its parents,
but the district must close campuses (or specific grades at open campuses) to
inbound transfers when campus/grade level enrollment approaches capacity.
LISD works to be sure that no safety issues arise from overcrowded conditions.
Enrollments and transfer requests are monitored daily throughout the year.
Transfer requests can be submitted online beginning Monday, Feb. 13, 2017.
Please be sure that you submit your transfer request(s) promptly, as the
transfer request deadline is MARCH 31ST (with the exception of
pre-kindergarten and kindergarten transfer requests, which will be accepted
April 12-21); the district will not consider any transfer requests submitted
after that date until approximately two weeks prior to the start of school.
Please note that some campuses will not be accepting any new transfers due to their
being at or over projected capacity. Existing transfer students at all campuses who submit
an application will be considered for approval after the March 19, 2017, deadline date.
Please note that a non-refundable $30.00 processing fee was implemented beginning
Sept. 1, 2011, for any student requesting a transfer (with the exception of students
transferring into the International Baccalaureate program), and this fee does not guarantee
approval to the requested campus.
Again, the student transfer submission window opens on Feb. 13, 2017.
If you do not have access to a computer, please feel free to stop by the campus and use
one of the campus computers, or should you need assistance with the transfer application,
schedule a meeting with the registrar at the campus you would like your student to attend,
so that they may assist you in completing this application.
For more information, visit the district's student transfer webpage. If you have specific
you may contact the registrar on your campus or email email@example.com.

Attendance Letters from A2A
Please note that our attendance system, A2A, will start sending out letters
due to students who have missed 3 or more days of school and have not
turned a note in to the registrar's office. Students who arrive after 7:50
are considered tardy. Students who are not present at 8:45 are considered
absent (unless a doctor's note is presented). Students who leave before
2:50 are considered absent in last period. If you have any questions
regarding your child's attendance or letters that are needed, please contact
Lori O’Dea at 512-570-6600.

JPE SPIRIT T-SHIRT DAYS
Show your spirit every Monday morning by wearing your favorite Jim Plain t-shirt. In addition to Monday spirit day, every Friday at Jim Plain is COLLEGE SHIRT DAY! Wearing your favorite college shirts will remind us of the learning we do during the week to help prepare us for college.
The district’s online tool, TXConnect, allows LISD parents to easily monitor their child’s achievement throughout the school year. LISD parents can use txConnect to access their child’s grades and assignments, view their child’s STAAR (or TAKS) results, immunizations, and much more!

Continue clipping Box Tops for Education. Hundreds of products participate in the program, and you probably already have several in your pantry, freezer, and fridge. For every Box Top you clip, Jim Plain will receive 10 cents. That may not sound like a lot, but it adds up quickly. Each school can receive up to $20,000 per school year from clipped Box Tops.
Imagine what Jim Plain could do with $20,000: New books, playground equipment, supplies, field trips, classroom parties. There are no limitations on the use of funds.
Our School can spend Box Top Money as needed.
Help your school while helping the earth...recycle your paper in our green and yellow bin in front of our building! For more information go to:
